Scouts Shoot to Success
Over 100 young people and leaders took part in the 2014 Avon Scouts Rifle Club Shooting Competition on the 29th September including members from 10th Bath (Combe Down), 66th Bath (Weston Village) and Phoenix ESU.
The event, hosted at Chelwood Campsite, saw participants compete in a range of shooting disciplines:
- Sporter Air Rifle
- Air Pistol
- 3 Position Air Rifle
- Field Target Air Rifle
- Archery
- Clay Pigeon Shooting
During the day there was also a knockdown knockout competition in which all age groups participated.
RESULTS
The Under 12s (Juniors) competition was won by Joshua from 10th Bath, with second and third place taken by Daniel and Clarke, also from 10th Bath.
The 12-14 year old Scouts competition was won by Rowan from 1st Bishopston, with second place going to Kara from 2nd Patchway, and Zach from 1st North Worle in third place.
The winning explorer was George from Phoenix ESU, with Lauren from Phoenix in third place, and Emma froM Trident in third.
The adult competition was fiercely contested, with Paul Baker from 2nd Patchway taking first place, Mark Hibbert from 10th Bath in second place, and Dave Middle from 1st Kewstoke in third.
